Conan Gray Combines Pop Perfection with Emotional Lyrics in his Newest Single.

On Friday, July 11th, Conan Gray released his new single “Vodka Cranberry,” his second single off his upcoming album, “Wishbone.” The new song has created quite the buzz and has fans even more excited for the rest of the album, which will be coming out on August 15th. 

Fans heard the full song for the first time on July 5th, when Gray performed the unreleased track in Poland at the Open’er Festival. With the words on the screen behind him, fans sang along loudly, despite it not even being out yet. 

The heartbreaking lyrics of the song and incredible storytelling of the music video are making the release quite the hit. Some fans are saying they already know Gray’s next album will be their favorite, and others are hopeful for a Grammy award for the single. 

When promoting the song, Gray made several TikTok’s, one dancing with his longtime friend and pop music star Olivia Rodrigo. Additionally, Gray had to clear up rumors about his fans accusing him of being in his “alcoholic era.” Gray said that every time it looks like he is drinking a vodka cranberry, it’s really just a soda or actual cranberry juice. Gray said he used these drinks to hint at the song, but they have, “no vodka, no alcohol at all.” 

With his lead single, “This Song,” and now, “Vodka Cranberry,” Gray set the bar high for the rest of the album, and fans are confident that it will not disappoint.
